Dave was so thoughtful and booked a night at the Great Wolf Lodge for a night. We wouldn't have guessed Miss Lauren would be recouping from a bought with a high fever. We ended up making the decision to go anyway and she did great. As long as she was in the water, watching the talking trees, or walking the hotel she was wonderful. One night was plenty and we felt we had enough play time to get our money's worth. If you want any advice let me know....I would love to share. Here are a bunch of pictures....sorry. :)
Lauren's favorite area
Just Before Dave gets pelted with 1,000 gallons of water!!!
During the pelting!!!
We sat waiting for story time and then all of a sudden this whole structure came to life....Lauren wasn't scared at all thankfully, and was followed by a nice story before bed.
Lauren was hanging before the story time....she was so cute in her jammer's...
This Lodge is soooo cosy

Yay! It looks really fun and I can't wait to hear all about it. We didn't end up going to Seattle...
We went to this one as soon as the opened...it was so expensive! They charge you for everything, and we couldn only afford to stay one night. Also the little kids area was closed when we were there, and they didnt bother to tell us there was a scheduled maintenance. Our youngest couldn't really even play the whole day! Our experience was not so "great" at the great wolf lodge, but it looks like thing went better for you!
I've seen this place advertised on TV and was wondering about it. Looks like a lot of fun. Glad you guys got to get away and have some fun family time.
Carly, I could see what you mean. If the kids section was closed off we would have been in a world of hurt. We spent the majority of the time there except for the wave pool, which Lauren loved. Dave and I took turns throughout the day doing the bigger slides, so that helped pass the time. Also I think we got a pretty "good" deal by going mid-week (a deal is different for everyone :) ). We paid $177 for the night, which included the hotel, and four tickets to the water park. For only being 2 hours away we thought it was a winner in the Shearer household. Oh yeah....we admit we did McDonalds the first night for dinner and then the buffett breakfast for $11/per person 4 years and older. We also packed a bunch of food of our own....anywho there ya have it....
