First Friday in Newberg

Last night Dave came home from work and took Lauren and I out on the town for dinner. Yes we did stay in Newberg and we had so much fun. I wish I had brought my camera with us. Many times I found great photo opportunities. We didn't realize that it was First Friday. Which is the time when most shops in town open their doors for visitors. There were a few nice galleries, the pet store, gift stores, and even the framing shop all had tasty treats and beverages. We then went over to Jem 100 and had a banana split. We ran into one of Dave's old college buddies too. Such an enjoyable evening. I wish I had photo's to show you. Maybe next month.

I also just wanted to update you on our sweet Lauren. She is almost 22 months!!! CRAZY!!! She is amazing. She makes us laugh daily, wait... maybe hourly. She is very active and has started jumping off furniture and landing on her own. This is very new for me. I used to worry she would break her leg, but not yet. She likes to help me unload the dish washer, wipe the floor, and "fold" laundry. She is my little shadow most days, but likes to play in her room by herself at times. She is too busy to take many pictures of, unless your not me. One really neat thing as of late is her friendship with Drew. The two of them have so much fun together. Last week they were running through the house where we have Bible study and were squealing with joy. They were corrected on the squealing once and were caught doing it again, and Drew was trying to cover Lauren's mouth when he saw me coming their way. It was too funny.

All in all we are having some great times, and are seeing the challenges ahead with potty training and bed adjustments. I know the Lord has a great future for us Shearer's. We can't wait to see what this summer has in store for us. May the Lord bless your spring!!!
