I had to blog tonight to share the coolest thing! Lauren said "mama mama mama mama mama...." tonight! Can I tell you how great this felt. You might say...."shouldn't she have said this earlier???" We'll that's what I thought too. As a first time Mama, to tell you the truth I was a little worried, Lauren being 16 months and all. :) She says Dada, ball, bob (for bob the tomato), papa, cheese, juice, keys, etc....but no mama. UNTIL TONIGHT!!!! After bath time I wrapped her in her towel and looked in the mirror with her and she said MAMA MAMA. Over and over again. It melted my heart. I was laughing as she kept saying it while kissing me time and time again. Seriously I think that was one of the most special moment I've experienced being Lauren's mama. She was so sweet about it. She knew how much it meant to me and how proud of her I was. Maybe it meant more because it took 16 long months?
As I was writing this blog I started to think about how our Father in heaven must love to hear us call out His name. He really must smile when we look to Him and simply say His name.....Jesus our Savior!!!
Thank you Lord for using my sweet Lauren to teach me more and more of Your love.

Sarah how sweet!! I can't wait for that moment!! I know I have a while to go but that's ok. I am very excited for you!
I feel like a dork, but this made me get a little teary, lol. I just imagine my little one doing that and it will melt my heart too. Especially the part about our Father in Heaven longing to hear us call on Him. What a special time for you Sara, you have such a sweet girl. :)
Yeah!!!! I was getting misty, too! How sweet - I love that she didn't just say it once, but over and over with kisses to boot! She was just savin' up for this special moment, that's all!
Oh Sara - isn't it so fun to be able to communicate with our little ones?? Lauren is so precious and such a blessing. Stay dry this weekend!
Amen! Thank YOU Sarah for reminding me how much pleasure God finds in us calling His name and seeking Him. -n
